If
your son is going to miss time - miss a practice, miss a
game, etc., they MUST speak with the coaches. Please
have your son handle the communications first - if there is
confusion, the coach will ask the parents to get involved.
Particularly at the varsity level, the boys should take
responsibility. Every coach cringes when a conversation
starts with "hey coach did you get my mom's email?".

We
have new jerseys this year for all levels. Please set the
precedent of taking care of the jerseys for future players.
-
VARSITY AND JV PLAYERS MUST purchase game shorts from the
AD's office before the first game.
-
Coach
Jordan has asked all varsity players to make sure they have
an adequate backup stick. So if they come to you with a
request for money/tales of woe and "the coach is making me"
type talk, the answer is YES, we are asking them to have a
second stick.

those who are not aware, Paul Wilson runs a fantastic web

The
week of BASH is always a difficult one for lacrosse and
other spring sports teams. Our outdoor fields are not
playable yet and BASH takes over the fieldhouse. This leaves
us with few - if any - options for practice locations.
Typically coaches are scrambling to "make the best of it",
and that process sometimes involves last-minute planning.
Please stay patient if you do not receive a firm schedule
during BASH week, it is not easy on the coaches.

Please note that all of our lacrosse coaching staff at
McQuaid Jesuit work outside of the McQuaid arena. Practice
schedules and other events need to work around the coaches
work schedule(s). If it is a "normal" work day,
practices/events will typically be later in the day.
